maybe a disappointing start

this morning i thought abt starting my public transit rambles. i was going to write abt mimi and jane, but i don't have the energy right now, sadly :( it was a long day at work, the weather here sucks (a full blown snowstorm most of the day in the middle of april!!!) and i just laboured over the prep for something i'm taking for the potluck at work.
now i'm starting to get paranoid that nobody's going to eat my food. maybe i shouldn't have volunteered to bring anything. actually, it's not now...i was thinking this the whole time that i was doing the chopping and slicing...and kept rationalizing that if i made the thing with care, it would turn out more than just edible and ppl would actually try it. but a potluck is so touch-and-go...where your dish is located among the others makes a difference, what the other dishes are makes a difference, what it looks like is important, and content etc...i could go on...
but i'm sleepy...so i'm off to bed w/ my paranoia...

why don't you make something that no one can refuse??? like a chocolate salad!
1 bag m&ms
1 bag hershey kisses
1 bag chocolate raisins (fruit!)
1 bag skor bites
1 bag mini eggs (post-Easter sales!)
1 bag of small assorted and wrapped chocolate bars (the wrappers add much needed colour, and then the germ-o-phobes can partake of the dish as well)
dump into festive bowl
toss gently
drizzle hot fudge liberally
voila!
you are every woman's best friend.
